My good friends latest stop motion short

I worked with Cosmo on a film this past spring, This is a little short that’s not short on aggression. I think he needs some time at the beach :-)

Hmm would you shower in this design?

Eventually we will plant flowers and other greenery around it. Too see thru? or just enough to have that, I’m showing outdoors kinda feeling.

I have to Admit

I do shoot a lot of sunsets and sun rises, but rearly ever publish them, so here is a rare beauty

And Your Friend, an Acclaimed Cinematographer gets a hold of your Nikon D700. These shots, like the stop motion in an earlier post, were shot in almost 0 light at 26500 ISO, crazy fun, but what was he thinking as he spent his last evening in Montauk before heading to Detroit to shoot a feature film for the next 3 months…

The Montauk Monster, Real or Clever marketing hoax?

I spend my weekends in Montauk and have been for the last 8 years or so, I have a lot of friends that are both locals and weekenders. I did a little calling around about The Montauk Monster and not to my surprise, no one knows anyone who has see the alleged Monster.

So I decided to take a closer look at the picture

I opened it it PhotoShop and took a look at the Embedded meta data, there is none, someone took the time to strip out all the meta data, except this one line
JFIF Ducky Adobe d

compared to the first few lines from my leica

Exif II* LEICA D-LUX 3 H H Ver.1.0 2008:06:23 16:16:07 PrintIM 0250

The first few from a created PhotoShop files
JFIF H H Exif Adobe Photoshop CS3 Macintosh 2008:07:31

and what happens when you open an image and resaved in PhotoShop
JFIF H H Exif LEICA D-LUX 3 Adobe Photoshop CS3 Macintosh 2008:07:31 13:57:03 PrintIM 0250

Next I took a closer look at the image itself, starting with the neck

Notice in the zoom the resolution appears to be different than the surrounding pixels and they are slightly smoother than the other pixels

Then take a look at the front leg some strange pixel stuff going on here

And some more pixel mischief on its back

and then the beak

I can see some more manipulation here

So a clever hoax? I belive so.

Sheetrock is going in this week, finally! Now I need to finish designing the Bathroom… Too much work and not enough time.

Fun thing I found on Cuil.com

This was from a Wired article Jun 29, 2000 about a company I had started called Udefine, it was a really cool idea, still ahead of it’s time it was a “Find Engine”

I love the quote we got!

New site busts out: This year, the number of provocatively dressed booth babes at PC Expo continued to dwindle, as most vendors stressed substance over style. Startup Udefine however, employed a curvaceous woman in a micro skirt and a half T-shirt emblazoned with their booth number to walk the expo floor.

Tamar Stern said she only took on the role of techie temptress to help out a friend who worked at Udefine. Stern, who works as a jewelry designer, said the booth was “never empty” thanks to her strutting.

Her act may have been a little too enticing for one unfortunate gent: As he focused on Stern, someone stole a camera from his cart, which also contained a pet rabbit.
