Silas was an interesting guy that built a great institution, he will be missed.
It is with great personal sadness that Anthony Rhodes and I report to you the passing of SVA’s Chairman and Founder, Silas H. Rhodes. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of June 28, 2007 at the age of 91. To assure continuity, Milton Glaser has agreed to become the Acting Chairman of the Board.
